Third Party Guidelines

Thanks for your interest in posting your product to Roku's third-party developer page. We're excited to have the creativity and energy of the developer community supporting us, and want to help third-party developers as much as we can.

To be listed as a Roku-compatible developer, we ask that you follow these simple guidelines in describing your product on your web site or in other public forums:

To avoid customer confusion, please refer to your product as "compatible with the Roku HD1000"
For example, ABC Player should be called "The ABC Player compatible with the HD1000" rather than the "Roku ABC Player" or the "HD1000 ABC Player"
Third party art packs should not be called "Roku Art Packs", but instead "Roku HD1000 compatible art packs" (art packs lower case). Or as "ABC art for use with the Roku HD1000".
The Roku logo is our trademark, and use of the Roku logo on your web site is not permitted without Roku's permission. Permission is granted if we put a link from our web site third-part developer's page to yours.
Use of other Roku's graphical elements and design styles (including packaging, fonts, and other design systems) are not permitted without Roku's written permission.
Roku does not endorse the use of third party copyrighted images or material, including art and graphics, without permission - please don't use copyrighted images without permission of the owner.
Please add an easily visible disclaimer to your product readme, manual or website that reads "This product has been created independently of Roku, and therefore does not carry any express or implied Roku warranty and will not be supported by Roku Customer Support."

If you think you have fulfilled these requirements, please send an email to thirdparty@rokulabs.com and we'll review your product for listing on our Third-Party Resources page. We'll need the following information from you (see a sample listing on the Third-Party Resources page):

Name of application
Creator's name
Download size
A brief description of your product
Required HD1000 software version
A link to the download location
A link to your web site that provides more information (if any)
Release version of the software (eg, alpha, beta, full release)
Is a swapfile recommended, required, or not necessary?
A graphical icon that represents your product, .gif or .jpg (optional)

Please include as much of the following information as you can:

Product Name
Author
Required version of the Roku OS (you can find this in Setup)
Download link
Web page link
Brief description
Small Graphic
